I laughed each time recalling being afraid of not moving forward with my life. Instead of crying I decided to talk about one of the most appauling crime commited women, sexual assault. Talking from my own experience and the experience of other, I never thought I would have the strength of bouncing back. Resilence means the capacity to recover quickly from difficulties, and tough situations according to the Meerriam Webster Dictionary.

However, the meaning does always apply. Many times,w hen people experience some type of hardship or castrophe in some shape or form of fashion, they get stuck. For instance, women who was abused by a predator whave only was beaten but sexually assaulted get stuck in saying "if I would have done this." Or, "If I wouldn't have done that" . It is a syndrome in situations more than likely she had no control of where continuously blame themselves. Yes, there are many adolescent, young adults and mature adults who are taking self-defense classes, the question that needs to be ask "Is that enoug?"

According to the Naitonal Statistic collected by the U.S. Bureau Of The Justice Statistics (National Crime Victimization Survey), one in four women;

Will be sexually assaulted in their lifetime
One is six women will experience attempted or complteted rape in their life time
In eight out of ten rape cases, the victim knows the perpetrator
13% of college women indicated that they have been forced to have sex in a dating situation
Nearly six out of ten sexual assualts occur int he victim's home or the of a friend, relative or neighbor.

Sadly, victims of rape and attempted rape do not report this hideous crime because they believe

Nothing will be done
The police will not be sympathetic or empathetic of their ordeal
The what happened to them is not important enough because of how society brands them as sluts and other unflavorable women.
